These dates are usually blackish brown in color and have a somewhat sweet taste which can be compared to the taste of caramel. Many a time these are enjoyed as a snack.

  •  Dayri Dates

Another type of date is Dayri dates, it is small, and cylindrical in shape, has a firm texture and sweet taste.

  •  Thoory Dates

  •  Zahidi Dates

These are oval-shaped and of a bright yellow color and are medium soft with a sweet and juicy taste. They are often employed for snacking and making date sugar of the fruit.
